The Nutrition Specialist, Governance (NO3) is part of the UNICEF Mozambique Child Health and Nutrition team, and reports to the Nutrition Manager (P4). The incumbent contributes to all aspects of UNICEF’s support to multi-sectoral Nutrition Governance structures in the country, including (1) strengthening national and sub-national level institutional capacities for multi-sectoral planning, coordination, and monitoring (2) high level advocacy to ensure that the reduction of chronic malnutrition (stunting) remains a priority, funded commitment of government at all levels, (3) technical support and partnerships to ensure quality nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive plans and actions within the relevant sectors, and (4) generation of evidence and knowledge products to highlight good practices of cross-sectoral synergies, and expedite the replication of those practices across the country.
